{"id":367,"date":"2019-12-12T21:59:07","date_gmt":"2019-12-12T20:59:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/future-higher-education.com\/?p=367"},"modified":"2019-12-12T21:59:07","modified_gmt":"2019-12-12T20:59:07","slug":"special-issue-about-future-of-higher-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/future-higher-education.hu\/en\/special-issue-about-future-of-higher-education\/","title":{"rendered":"Special Issue about Future of Higher Education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>G\u00e1bor Kir\u00e1ly and Zsuzsanna G\u00e9ring (RC07 board member) were guest editors for Futures (Volume 111, August 2019) with a special section on <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u2019<a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/journal\/futures\/vol\/111\/suppl\/C\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Futures of Higher Education<\/a>\u2019<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>In their <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S0016328719301260\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Editorial<\/a><\/span>\u00a0they identify certain global trends that create significant challenges to higher education, such as climate change, global migration flows, political tensions, depression epidemic, digitalisation and robotisation. Not only these trends, but the interplay between them, lead to pressing questions such as how we can prepare student for future challenges, and what role higher education should play in shaping future societies. Therefore, future discussion and systematic investigation is crucial to collectively elaborate alternative organisational forms for HE, as well as to create a diverse HE ecosystem.
