Scientific Director of FHERC has been appointed Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham’s School of Education
Scientific Director of the Future of Higher Education Research Centre Gábor Király has been appointed Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham’s School of Education for 3 years as of 1st August 2021. During this period Gábor Király will hold research methodology workshops, as well as plans to participate in joint research projects on the future of education and work. This appointment also provides an excellent opportunity to foster and strengthen further research cooperation between the University of Nottingham and Budapest Business School.
Chapter in a new edited volume
Zsuzsanna Géring, director of FHERC published the chapter Mixed Methodological Discourse Analysis in a new edited volume entitled The Routledge Reviewer’s Guide to Mixed Methods Analysis. The new edited volume explores methods with both quantitative and qualitative roots, as well as „inherently” mixed methods. International University and Industry Innovation Network online conference
Three of our researchers participated in the UIIN online conference with their research project ‘Do top business schools claim to equip students with the skills of tomorrow?’. In their research, Eszter Szendrei-Pál, Gábor Király, and Márton Rakovics analysed the external online communication of the top 100 business schools of the 2019 Times Higher Education list. Gábor Király and Zsuzsanna Géring, directors of FHERC were chairs of a session at STS Conference, Critical Issues in Science, Technology and Society Studies, in May. Inner drives: Is the future of marketing communication sustainable when using backcasting? – new article
A new research paper was published in Futures by Alexandra Köves and Gábor Király, the scientific director of our research centre. The article is based on a marketing communication firm’s corporate research in which Köves and Király were involved as facilitators. The organisational action-research project was carried out with participatory backcasting. Through the process, the topic of sustainability and responsibility emerged.
