Sustainability at leading business schools – new article
Sára Csillag, Gábor Király, Márton Rakovics and Zsuzsanna Géring published their new article in Futures. In the article, entitled Agents for sustainable futures? The (unfulfilled) promise of sustainability at leading business schools, the researchers analysed the portrayal of ’sustainability’ in top-ranked business schools’ online education-related content.
With the help of mixed-methods textual analysis, they found that
almost half of the leading business schools do not mention sustainability in their education-related online texts, neither in an economic or social context.
And while the remaining institutions do address the issue to some extent, they largely frame it in an economic perspective, incorporating only those aspects of sustainability that can be embedded in a neo-liberal worldview.
