The new report of our research group, the Future of Higher Education Research Centre, is now published and openly accessible through digital channels. Gábor Király, the scientific director of our research group, and Alexandra Köves, associate professor at the Corvinus University of Budapest, published a post on the academic blog Kontrapunkte of the Hochschule für Philosophie München. A new research paper was published in Discourse & Communication by Réka Tamássy and Zsuzsanna Géring. In the article Tamássy and Géring analyse research projects that apply discourse analysis approaches on social media content. The researchers focused on the methodological and theoretical frameworks of the reviewed publications, finding that the use of discourse analysis is the most prevalent as a pure methodology and as a complex methodological and theoretical framework. Scientific Director of FHERC has been appointed Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham’s School of Education
Scientific Director of the Future of Higher Education Research Centre Gábor Király has been appointed Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham’s School of Education for 3 years as of 1st August 2021. During this period Gábor Király will hold research methodology workshops, as well as plans to participate in joint research projects on the future of education and work. This appointment also provides an excellent opportunity to foster and strengthen further research cooperation between the University of Nottingham and Budapest Business School.
Chapter in a new edited volume
Zsuzsanna Géring, director of FHERC published the chapter Mixed Methodological Discourse Analysis in a new edited volume entitled The Routledge Reviewer’s Guide to Mixed Methods Analysis. The new edited volume explores methods with both quantitative and qualitative roots, as well as „inherently” mixed methods. International University and Industry Innovation Network online conference
Three of our researchers participated in the UIIN online conference with their research project ‘Do top business schools claim to equip students with the skills of tomorrow?’. In their research, Eszter Szendrei-Pál, Gábor Király, and Márton Rakovics analysed the external online communication of the top 100 business schools of the 2019 Times Higher Education list.
